LoRa Hub — assembled multi-channel LoRa concentrator and GNSS module
Overview

What it is

LoRa Hub is a multi-channel LoRa concentrator and GNSS companion module for the NWIREDCORE CM4 / CM5 Gateway Carrier Board. It is designed to communicate with multiple LoRa sensor and device nodes while providing integrated GNSS functionality to the host system. It is a companion module, not a standalone device, and it always includes GNSS. It is a compact, castellated board intended to be mounted on a host board, with the layout driven by RF performance. Hardware design and the manufacturing package are complete; prototype manufacturing, bring-up and validation are still ahead. No prototypes have been built or tested yet.

Development status

Roadmap

  1. ArchitectureCompleted

RF chain, multi-channel concentrator front end, antenna strategy and module footprint fixed.

  2. SchematicCompleted

LoRa concentrator front end and GNSS receiver sections captured.

  3. PCB LayoutCompleted

Compact castellated layout complete, routed for RF performance.

  4. Manufacturing filesCompleted

Design and manufacturing files ready for factory ordering.

  5. Prototype manufacturingNext step

Next milestone: fabrication and assembly of the first modules.

  6. Bring-up and testingUpcoming

Power, LoRa communication, GNSS and basic interface checks on the first units.

  7. RF / GNSS validationUpcoming

Radio link and satellite positioning performance measured on hardware.

  8. Field testingUpcoming
  9. Revision if requiredFuture

Hardware design and the manufacturing package are complete; the next milestone is prototype fabrication and assembly. The current design is a multi-channel LoRa concentrator architecture — higher-level protocol software is not yet implemented or validated. Frequencies, output power, dimensions, certifications and production status are still to be confirmed through prototyping and are deliberately not listed yet.
